Terms of Service
Last updated: March 26, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Doki Code (“the Application”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial development purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application except as permitted by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Application.
Your Content
Doki Code is a local-first application. Your code, workspaces, git worktrees, terminal sessions, and browser data are stored entirely on your machine. We do not transmit, access, or store your local content on our servers.
We claim no ownership or rights over any content you create, store, or manage using the Application. You retain full control and responsibility for your local data at all times.
Account & Authentication
Certain features of the Application require you to sign in with a Google or GitHub account. By signing in, you authorize us to receive your name, email address, and profile image from your OAuth provider.
You may register up to 10 devices per account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and connected devices. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or services
- Distribute malware or malicious code through the Application
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Application or related services
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Application without authorization
Third-Party Services
The Application integrates with third-party services, including AI providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI), Git hosting platforms, and code editors. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doki Code and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Application.
Termination
We may revoke your license and suspend your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Application and delete any copies in your possession. All registered devices will be deactivated.
Because Doki Code is a local-first application, all data stored on your machine remains yours and is unaffected by account termination. You may also delete your account voluntarily at any time through your account settings.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
